Test Optional Request Form

Moravian has taken a holistic approach to application evaluation since it’s founding, more than 275 years ago. And in the spirit of being a little revolutionary, we’ve taken things a step further by establishing our Test-Optional Policy for first-year applicants. This policy makes the submission of SAT and ACT standardized test scores optional if you are applying for undergraduate admission. Scores will still be accepted and considered if you desire. However, if you feel your test scores are not an accurate representation of your academic abilities, you can choose to not to have your scores considered for admission.

Do I have to do anything additional?

Moravian does not require any additional application materials in place of your standardized test scores. However, if you feel a writing sample or an interview would more accurately convey your academic abilities and achievements, we highly encourage them both!

What about scholarships?

If you choose not to submit test scores, it will not hurt your application. Test scores are not required in order to be considered for most scholarships and financial aid.

Can I be test optional?

There are a few applicant types for whom standardized test scores are still a requirement:

  • Nursing Program Applicants
  • International Students
